Project ASA - Amsterdam Street Art

The succesful second edition of Project Amsterdam Street Art take place from 22nd until 26th June 2011. A selection of (inter)national artists came over to the Dutch capital for paint jams, exhibitions and of course to leave their trademark on the streets of Amsterdam.

The ASA All Stars exhibition at GO Gallery is where 17 (inter)national street art artists exhibit their work.

In The Thought Gallery the ASA New Stars exhibition is taking place with talented street artists from Dutch ground and abroad.

The artists: Zaira (Switzerland), KARMA (Ireland), La Ira (Spain), Skount (Spain), Roy Schreuder (Netherlands), Ian Phenna (England), Boxhead (Spain), Louis Michel aka Masai (England), Daan Dirven (Netherlands),  Michan (Netherlands), Michel van der Born (Netherlands), Snub (England), Dindin (Netherlands), Encore (Switserland), Seifrei (Switzerland).

These talented  artists have been scouted by us in recent months, got noticed by us and/or have been known to us for some time now. We want to give them an extra push in the right direction. Some of them are already doing a good job and might even be ready for next year's All Stars exhibition?

Project Amsterdam Street Art 2011 is kicking off on Wednesday 22nd June. In a Street Art in Amsterdam photography exhibition at De Duivel, eight photographers show their photographic view on street art in Amsterdam from 22nd june until 1st July.

The photographers are: Nicole Blommers, StonieB  / Steven Boer, Wojofoto, Olivier Moron, Marco Buddingh, Marian Genet, Kirsten van Noorden and Virgil Westhout.

All participating photographers present the street art in Amsterdam in their own unique way. Whether it is documenting via Flickr, Facebook, a website and / or private snapshots.

The exhibition kicks of at 21:00hrs with an afterparty starting at 23:00hrs. In the first hour there are free Jameson cocktails for you and your friends.

After months of rebuilding and painting Pand 14 (near junction Holendrecht) is opening its doors again on Sunday 26th June. There is only one part of the building that hasn't been painted, yet. We say 'yet' as a few of our Project Amsterdam Street Art 2011 artists are there to help and give the not 'yet' painted outside walls a nice coat of paint.

Artists: Ottograph, Boxhead, Skount, La Ira and Stookoven.

As part of our Project ASA event you can see these artists at work on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th June. Some bits and pieces will also be painted the days before.

On Sunday 26th June Pand 14 will officially be opened with live music, a drink and a rotating floor.

You might remember Betsy the camper van that was painted at last years event on Museumplein? The nice people to whom Betsy belongs (Alltournative) have been offering tours in Amsterdam for some time now. Seeing that they also offer street art tours, we thought it would be just perfect to collab with this years Project Amsterdam Street Art and offer street art tours and also workshops to our event visitors.
