The city council of Sant Feliu de Llobregat (Barcelona, Spain) is launching a public competition to paint a huge mural (400m2)

This intervention is part of the full remodeling of a central square with an important history for the city: the “plaza de la Salut”. The mural will represent the neighbours’ fight 30 years ago to have this square created instead of a gas station.
The selected artist will have an artistic residence in order to know the city and the context and will create the mural during spring 2018.

All the process will be coordinated by Kaligrafics Sant Feliu and Contorno Urbano.

Dead-line: The open call will end on September 15th, 12pm

Selection process: The competition is open to anyone over 18 years old. Each artist or crew will present only one proposal, without sketch. The pre-selection comity will judge the curriculum and academic formation (1 point), the participation in exhibitions and festivals (1 point), the internships and prizes won (1 point), the experience in muralism in public spaces

(2,2 points) and the suitability of the style and the artwork to the purpose of the mural (4,8 points)

Final Selection: 12 finalists will have to submit a sketch. A professional jury will vote the most interesting and adequate one.

Prize: 7000 € for the winner.
