Mark 2020’s extra day in your calendar! 29 February we’re going to transform the concrete animal enclosures of the biggest animal shelter of the Netherlands into an Urban Jungle. Every year we are committed to a charity project, so when Dierenopvang Amsterdam (DOA) approached us for a collaboration to transform the indoor areas of the shelter we immediately got excited. Together with a line-up of 20 animal-loving artists, we’re going to make sure the indoor areas get a fun and creative make-over.
Dog-lovers as they are, The London Police invites you to come and have a look during this event!
(Add subtitles for English)
The goal of the event and the make-over is to generate more attention for the animals who deserve a second chance and are waiting for a new home. February 29 is going to be a great day with funky tunes, specially selected street art merchandise and of course, a lot of street art and a great line-up:
Dopie – JoostVijfB – KASH – Peter van der Helm – Simian Switch – Serge KB – Chill – Jorris Verboon – Mossy Giant – Yasja Ligtelijn – Nicky Nahafahik – NOL – Hugo Mulder DHM – Laser 3.14 – Life is Limitless – Nouchka Huijg – Sjem Bakkus – Beazarility – IvesOne – Combolution – Mystery Artist
The art we’re going to make at DOA will be part of DOA’s biweekly guided tours through the shelter and will hopefully become an extra reason to visit the shelter. The 20 participating artists are curated by ASA. Every year we commit ourselves to a charity project. We’re proud that DOA approached us to transform a part of their shelter and are glad we can contribute to the kennel. Both the artists as ASA will volunteer during this project.
Would you like to support us and the artists in the costs that we incur to transform DOA? We and DOA are happy with every donation which you can transfer via this link.
See you the 29 of February!
