Project ASA - Amsterdam Street Art

Our next vernissage at Aalborg Hotel (Sarphatipark 106) is happening on Friday 5th August. We are pleased to welcome street artists Bustart and Zaira to the 25th Hour Lounge of Aalborg Hotel

Bustart and Zaira are both originally from Switzerland and currently based in Amsterdam. It can not be unnoticed that this couple is very active on the streets of Amsterdam.

The biggest wall ever painted in Amsterdam? Oh yes!!! From Friday 24th June until Sunday 26th June a selection of our artists painted the wall located on Hallenterrein/Bellamyplein. Call it a big wall, but you can also call it a wall of fame. The list of artists: Klone, Ox-alien, Kenzo, Erick Hikups, KBTR, Goin, Bustart, Zaira, Ives.one, DHM, Sweet Toof and New Art Night artists.

On Prinsengracht (corner Johnny Jordaanplein) we had Farkfk and NOL painting a garage and its wall last year.

This year we did it again with Orticanoodles, Bustart, DHM and Erick Hikups.

A total difference from last year, but we are most definitely a bit in love with the result. We hope you like it as well.

Today Klone, Goin, Kenzo, Ox-Alien, Sweet Toof and Btoy went to Sloterdijk to paint three billboards. The day started with heavy rain, but thankfully the rain stopped so that the artists could do their work good. And they did it good.

In collaboration with Bellamy Etalage Project (BEP) and New Art Night we are creating a street art happening at De Hallenterrein ground (Bellamyplein). It is the closing day (Sunday 26th June) of our Project Amsterdam Street Art week, but the opening of Hallenterrein.

Presently the ground looks very impoverishment (see photo). With a bit of colour added by our artists, schoolkids and New Art Night members the murals will get some great new artworks. Besides mural paintings there are workshops, music and a BBQ.

Come and join us to celebrate our closing day at Bellamyplein between 12:00 and 20:00hrs. Our Girls Only exhibition on and around Bellamyplein is being opened with a walking tour from 20:00hrs.

Remember last year when the I Amsterdam on Museumplein was painted by our Project ASA 2010 artists? Well, we are doing it again.

Come to Museumplein on Saturday 25th June between 11:00 and 16:00hrs to see four of our artists doing the A, S and the A. You know, as in Amsterdam Street Art. The artists at work are Btoy, Orticanoodles, DHM and Goin.

Only a few nights before Project Amsterdam Street Art 2011 kicks. Artists are arriving in town, exhibitions are being set up, paint is being bought and the finishing touches are being made.

A couple of days ago we confirmed Pand 14 being one of the outside locations. We can now announce two more locations.

Amsterdam based artists DHM and Ottograph (also both exhibiting their work at GO Gallery) have been busy with white paint on Thursday early afternoon. As part of Project Amsterdam Street Art 2011 they painted the window of the American Book Center in Amsterdam. The leftside is by Ottograph and the rightside by DHM. We are very happy with the result.

After months of rebuilding and painting Pand 14 (near junction Holendrecht) is opening its doors again on Sunday 26th June. There is only one part of the building that hasn't been painted, yet. We say 'yet' as a few of our Project Amsterdam Street Art 2011 artists are there to help and give the not 'yet' painted outside walls a nice coat of paint.

As part of our Project ASA event you can see these artists at work on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th June. Some bits and pieces will also be painted the days before.

On Sunday 26th June Pand 14 will officially be opened with live music, a drink and a rotating floor. Woah!
